Privacy Policy

Nestio is a baby and child activity tracker designed for parents and caregivers. Your privacy and the privacy of your family is our priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Key principle: All personal data about your child (name, birth date, photos, activity history) is stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. We do not upload your child's data to our servers.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. Information You Provide (stored locally)

When you use Nestio, you voluntarily enter information that is saved only on your device:

  • Child Profile: name, birth date, gender, profile color, comment, and an optional avatar photo selected from your device's gallery.
  • Activity Records: sleep duration, feeding times and sides, bottle amounts, diaper changes, weight, height, temperature, doctor visits, symptoms, vaccinations, medicines, and any custom events you create.
  • Reminders & Settings: notification preferences, reminder schedules, widget settings, and app settings (language, units, theme).

All of the above is stored in a local SQLite database (nestio.db) and in local app settings. We do not have access to this data.

1.2. Photos and Media

The app requests access to your photo library so you can select a profile picture (avatar) for a child. The selected image is converted to a base64 data URI and stored locally. We do not upload or transmit photos to any server.

1.3. Automatically Collected Information

To improve app stability and performance, the app sends limited technical analytics data to our server (app.dev-lab.app/api) when the app launches and during sessions:

  • Device information: a randomized device UUID (generated locally), device brand, manufacturer, model, device type (phone/tablet), total RAM, device year class, OS version, and platform (Android/iOS).
  • Locale information: language tag, region code, text direction (LTR/RTL), timezone, 24-hour clock setting, and first weekday.
  • App information: app version, ad provider identifier, launch time, and session start/end timestamps.
  • Session token: a temporary random token used only to pair session-start and session-end events.

This analytics data does not include any child names, photos, activity records, or personally identifiable information.

1.4. Advertising Data

Nestio displays ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). The following applies:

  • We use banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads.
  • Ads are configured with requestNonPersonalizedAdsOnly: true.
  • Google may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data according to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • You can disable ads entirely by purchasing the Premium version of the app (when available).

  • Stored only on the local device and never transmitted to us or any third party.
  • Not used for profiling, marketing, or analytics.

7.1. Requesting Deletion of Server-Side Data

While your child's data (profiles, activities, photos) is stored only locally on your device, the app sends anonymous analytics data (device UUID, device info, session metadata) to our servers. To request deletion of this server-side analytics data, use the "Contact Us" button in the App settings. This will open your email client with a pre-filled message to info@dev-lab.app containing your Device UUID automatically. Simply send the email with your deletion request.

Alternatively, you can manually send an email to info@dev-lab.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your Device UUID (which you can view by tapping the "Contact Us" button in the App settings).

We will process your request within 30 days and permanently delete all analytics data associated with your Device UUID from our servers.

8. Data Retention

  • Local data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Analytics data: Retained on our servers for up to 12 months for debugging and statistics, after which it is automatically deleted.

9. International Users

Nestio is available globally. Your local data remains on your device. Anonymous analytics may be processed on servers located in the EU. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of anonymous analytics data as described in this policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
